Anya Van Rose

Anya Van Rose

Songstress Anya Van Rose weaves songs that drift between waking life and imagined reality. In song, she explores the quiet thresholds of existence–life, death, memory, and the spaces in between. Her upcoming record leans into themes of loss and grief, unfolding in a more subdued and intimate voice. Performing solo, her new work drifts between waking life and imagined reality–like reflections caught in dim light in a world that feels both haunting and strangely familiar.

With her full band, she shifts into something brighter and sharper—blending sparkle and grit into a sound she calls bubblegrunge. Anya’s full band performances bring a playful counterpoint to her introspection: vintage gowns, light flecks from her glittering guitar, and bubbles drifting through distortion. Her shows are a kind of soft rebellion where joy is taken seriously and the act of bubble-blowing becomes it’s own small, radiant language. She takes the stage from the NE Ohio rust belt with her bandmates Austin Popovich (drums), Devin Johnson (guitar), Kevin McManus (bass).
